Using your TMAX Tech MAX is so convenient with the Smart Key in your pocket – and the 2-button backlit main switch is simple to use. This keyless technology enables you to start the engine, unlock the seat and release the centre stand easily and quickly – and you can even unlock the stylish flush fitting aero-style fuel cap.
Cruise control is a standard feature on the TMAX Tech MAX, and enables you to relax on longer rides, and also serves as a useful way to stay under the speed limit. The system works in conjunction with the YCC-T Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle and can be selected at speeds of 50 kph and above.
The TMAX Tech Max is driven by a compact and powerful engine giving spirited sports performance via an easy to use automatic transmission. The 560cc 2-cylinder engine features a special horizontally opposed reciprocating piston balancer mechanism that ensures a super smooth ride, making it ideal in a variety of riding situations – whether commuting into work through congested urban streets or heading home on the highway.

The TMAX Tech Max features a dynamic face with dual eye headlights and built in position lights that give a sportier and refined appearance that is instantly recognisable as being TMAX – while at the same time bringing a strong image to this outstanding Sport Scooter. The TMAX’s front bodywork is also is created to complement the dual eye headlights to give a modern look and feel, giving a simple and sharp silhouette with a compact mass centralised look.
TMAX Tech Max is equipped with large diameter 267mm front disc brakes and a 282mm diameter rear disc brake with ABS and Brake Control system that give excellent controllability in varying conditions. Developed originally for Yamaha’s high performance Supersport motorcycles, Brake Control (BC) works with the TMAX’s Anti-lock Braking System to help minimise brake slip during hard braking or when riding on low-traction surfaces. Activated by an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), the BC system aims to deliver the most comfortable braking performance at varying speeds, lean angles and road conditions.
The TMAX Tech MAX is equipped with a state-of-the-art Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) for the finest level of engine controllability – and for greater feeling and reduced weight a fly-by-wire Accelerator Position Sensor Grip (APSG) is fitted. The traction control system helps prevent rear wheel slip when accelerating on wet or loose surfaces – and D-MODE allows you to select smooth or sporty engine performance. The addition of Brake Control complements this Sport Scooter’s existing package of electronic control technology to give the rider a higher level of confidence in a variety of weather and road surface conditions.
The 7-inch TFT dash offers a choice of three screen layouts, enabling the TMAX rider to select the option that focuses on the information that is most significant to them. Connectivity on the TMAX Tech Max via the MyRide app also enables riders to play music and view SMS, receive calls and email notifications, while riders can access full map Garmin Navigation* through the Garmin Motorize App.
